Lake Talon cottages & seasonal camping

Camp Conewango

Cottages and camping beside Lake Talon.

Glassy Creek separates the cottages from the campground, giving guests a private place to stay. Cedar Cottage sits by a private beach on Rice Bay, the historic Log Cottage is more than 100 years old, Birch Cottage is accessible and pet-friendly, and the Lodge Retreat offers two bedrooms, a full kitchen and a living room with a sofabed.

The cottages include a kitchen with major appliances, cookware and dishes, a four-piece bathroom, heat, a screened porch, a propane barbecue, a fire pit and a picnic table. Linens, pillows and blankets are supplied, while guests bring their own kitchen and bath towels.

Lake Talon has walleye, northern pike, muskie, bass and lake trout. Guests may rent a 14-foot aluminum boat with a 9.9-horsepower motor, along with canoes and kayaks. Nearby trails lead to smaller lakes with speckled trout and perch.

The seasonal campground has a sandy beach, spacious lawns, a playground, horseshoe pits and sites with 30-amp power, water and a fire pit. A central dump station, free hot showers, toilets and laundry are available. The property is not offering overnight campsites this season.

Guests can also enjoy a short walking trail, paddling routes through the historic Nipissing Voyageur Passageway, docking and breakfast or lunch at McBride’s at Camp Conewango.
