Sunbeam Bungalows is located in the small, picturesque hamlet of Callander, Ontario. It offers a small town, rustic lifestyle within 10 miles of shopping and cultural center. The area is a photographer's dream with an abundance of birds, trees, rocks and lakes to capture on film or to paint or sketch. And wait until you see our magnificent sunsets. Our resort is nestled under the pines, across the road, from a long white sandy beach. You'll love our beautiful marina with it's own private 2,500 sq. ft. deck with lounge chairs and patio tables. The shallow water depth provides for safe, carefree swimming for the little folk and the rest of the family. Lake Nipissing is world-renowned for it's fishing. There are excellent stocks of pickerel (walleye), great northern pike and muskie, plus smallmouth bass. You'll also find largemouth and rockbass, yellow perch, and a number of other species. Fish in sheltered Callander Bay within sight of our resort or venture out as far as you wish. Our well-maintained 18-foot fiberglass boats, equipped with fishfinders, and new 25 hp electric start motors will take you to your favorite fishing hole quickly. We offer a choice of 1, 2, or 3 bedroom cottages which have combined kitchen-living rooms and 3- or 4-piece baths. The cottages are equipped with electric refrigerators and four-burner stoves with ovens, cutlery, dishes, cooking utensils, pots and pans, blankets, pillows, linen, towels and tea towels. They are made up and ready for occupancy. Each cottage has a picnic table, barbeque and private deck for your enjoyment. Just ask for your free boat and motor when you make your reservation and we'll do the rest. Our equipment is all late model and well-maintained. If you bring your own boat(s) we'll provide free launching and docking for up to two boats, and include free use of all of our facilities. |
